Selling homemade food in Nebraska
Nebraska is one of the friendliest states for home food sellers: a free one-time registration with no fee or inspection, and no cap on how much you can earn. A 2024 law expansion even opened the door to some refrigerated items like cheesecakes and cream pies under an added pathway.

You can't sell
- Raw meat and poultry products
- Low-acid canned vegetables
- Foods requiring a HACCP plan
Where you can sell
- Direct to consumer
- Farmers markets
- Online with in-state delivery/pickup
- Home delivery within Nebraska
